Hash Browns play Friday
IRON MOUNTAIN - The Country Hash Brown Band of Escanaba will be performing at the Iron Mountain Senior Center on Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a Country Western Jamboree night of dancing.
The Hash Browns are a five-piece band that plays country music along with many polkas and waltzes. Members include Jim Wilson, bass; Eric Britton, bass; Jim Profit, rhythm and Dan McDonald, drums. They all provide vocals.
The band has been a favorite at the C&R in Aurora and with the dancers at the center.
The cost of the dance is $8 and includes a light lunch. Persons may bring beverages of their choice. All ages are welcome and encouraged.
Legion?Post 145 hosts breakfast
NORWAY - The Norway American Legion Post 145 will be serving a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Sept. 2, (Labor Day weekend) at 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast, juice and coffee. Adults are $6 and children under six are free. The public is invited. The Post is located at 621 Main St.
KHS class of '47 lunch Thursday
IRON MOUNTAIN - The Kingsford High School class of 1947 will meet for lunch at Maple Creek Restaurant in Iron Mountain at noon on Thursday.
All classmates, guests and spouses are welcome.
KHS class of '57 meeting Thursday
KINGSFORD - The Kingsford High School class of 1957 will hold its 55th reunion on Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Antoine Room of Recreation Lanes.
The committee will meet again on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. at Verna's.
