FLORENCE, Wis. - There are plenty of activities planned for the 2012 Florence County Fair, which will run from Friday through Sunday at the fairgrounds on County Road N.
A $7 parking pass is required and good for the whole weekend.
Pre-fair exhibit judging starts today at 9 a.m. for non-livestock exhibits and at 1 p.m. for livestock exhibits.
Friday is Senior Citizens Day. There will be chainsaw carving demonstrations throughout the day.
Other Friday events include:
- Informational booths on display from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

- Voting for the Florence County Citizen of the Year from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Live music from Donna Gaspardo from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

All-day events on Saturday include chainsaw carving demonstrations and voting for the Florence County Citizen of the Year.

- Firemen's games at 3 p.m.
- Live music from Bagpiper Steve at 3 p.m.
- Duct tape contest from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Karaoke with Vicky Bourassa from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Penny scramble at 4 p.m.
- Pie eating contest at 5 p.m.
- Cricket spitting contest from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Bingo from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Live music from Oz from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

- Registration for the Classic Car, Cycle, and Tractor Show from 9 a.m. to noon.
- Live music from Country Classics from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Magic show with Jim Lenz at 10:30 a.m.
- Air-powered rocket workshop with Jim Lenz at 11:30 a.m.
- Science show with Jim Lenz at 1 p.m.
- Live music from Bagpiper Steve and the Menominee River Celtic Session Group from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
