MARINETTE, Wis. - A man who abducted a 10-year-old girl from Amberg, Wis. and transported her to Arkansas earlier this year has been sentenced in Marinette County Court.

Arlie W. Yarbrough, 42, no address given, must serve three years in prison and two years of extended supervision.

Yarbrough pleaded no contest in July to one felony count of abduction of a child-detaining.

The maximum penalty for the charge is 15 years in prison.

Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve reported on April 6 that deputies had been investigating the disappearance of Brianna Lujan, 10, of Amberg since March 31.

At the time, deputies believed that Yarbrough was a suspect. Yarbrough had been living with Lujan's mother in Amberg until she died. The mother's sister was supposed to have legal custody of Lujan.

On April 8, authorities located Yarbrough and Lujan in Perry County, Ark. Lujan was unharmed.
