IRON MOUNTAIN - An Iron Mountain woman was lodged in the Dickinson County Jail after threatening her boyfriend with a handgun, police said today.
Iron Mountain Police Chief Peter Flaminio said officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Fifth Street at 3:25 p.m. Sunday in reference to a female subject who was in possession of a handgun and had threatened her boyfriend with the weapon.
Upon arrival on scene, Iron Mountain Police officers were met by the man who said that the woman was still inside the residence and still in possession of the handgun.
After a short period of time and after talking with the woman on the telephone, she exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident, Chief Flaminio said.
The 32-year-old woman from Iron Mountain was arrested for felonious assault and lodged in the correctional center pending arraignment and review of the formal complaint by Dickinson County Prosecutor Stephanie Brule.
Police said a handgun was recovered at the scene.
