IRON MOUNTAIN - An Iron Mountain woman accused of threatening a man with a handgun has been charged with assault, officials reported today.
Dickinson County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Lisa Richards said that Krissy Farrish, 32, of Iron Mountain, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, a four-year felony.
On Sunday at 3:25 p.m., Iron Mountain Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Fifth Street in reference to a woman who was in possession of a handgun and had threatened her boyfriend with the weapon.
Upon arrival on scene, Iron Mountain Police Officers were met by the man who advised that the woman was still inside the residence and still in possession of the handgun.
After a short period of time and after talking with the woman on the telephone, she exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident.
A preliminary examination for Farrish is set for Friday at 10 a.m. in Dickinson County District Court.
