Repeal your own health care

August 30, 2012
The Daily News

EDITOR:

This is to Representative Dan Benishek, Paul Ryan, and all Republicans in office regarding the Affordable Care Act and Patient Protection Act.

You have voted 34 times to repeal the Affordable Care Act and the Patient Protection Act while at the same time voting to keep your own taxpayer subsidized life time health insurance. Why?

The taxpayer is paying your salary and health insurance. That's $3,347 per week for each member of the House of Representatives, not including your health insurance costs.

That's a lot of money, especially for senior citizens who have to pay for their own Medicare premiums and a supplement insurance policy, senior citizens who receive $1,200 a month Social Security average $300 a week.

Why should we pay your salary and health care for a do nothing Congress?

I guess because you voted for the salary and health care benefits for life.

Repeal your own health care first, and then you can try to repeal mine.
