IRON MOUNTAIN - Joseph Robert "Bob" Rochon, 90, a lifetime resident of Iron Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain.

Bob served in the army during World War II, and in 1946, established the Rochon Funeral Home in Iron Mountain where he served the community until his retirement. He was a member of the Bishop Baraga Council 1585 Knights of Columbus in Iron Mountain-Kingsford, the American Legion Uren-Cooper-Johnson Post 50, and St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen "Kay;" daughters, Mary (Carl) Plath and Jane (Pat) Hyla; one son, Tom (Debby) Rochon; along with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.

The memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the funeral home. Rev. Raymond Valerio will officiate.

Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to St. Jude's Hospital or Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children.
