MARINETTE, Wis. (AP) - Authorities in northeastern Wisconsin say a 10-year-old boy who was driving an all-terrain vehicle has died after colliding with a pickup truck. The boy's 10-year-old passenger is in critical condition.
The Marinette County sheriff's department responded Sunday about 10 a.m. to a report of a crash in the Town of Middle Inlet. Investigators say the ATV driver failed to stop at a stop sign, and slammed into the truck.
The boy who was driving the ATV was pronounced dead at the scene of head and internal injuries. The other boy was rushed to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
The boys' names haven't been released. The driver of the pickup truck and his passenger weren't hurt.
