Names released in fatal ATV crash

MARINETTE, Wis. - Authorities have released the name of the 10-year-old boy killed in a fatal ATV crash on Sunday in the town of Middle Inlet.

Killed was the driver of the ATV, Calvin O. Bauer, 10, of the town of Middle Inlet. His passenger, Christopher M. Gorman, also 10 and of the town of Middle Inlet, remains in a Green Bay hospital in critical condition.

Both boys were middle school students at Crivitz, according to a press release issued by the Marinette County Sheriff's Department.

The driver of the pick-up truck was Jeffrey L. Herman, 60, of Green Bay. His passenger was Joel W. Herman, 57, of Green Bay. The Herman brothers were not injured.

The Marinette County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of a crash in the town of Middle Inlet at about 10 a.m. Sunday. The 10-year-old driver of the ATV failed to stop at a stop sign and slammed into a pick-up truck. The boy driving the ATV was pronounced dead at the scene of head and internal injuries.
