IRON MOUNTAIN - A 32-year-old woman from Iron Mountain has pleaded not guilty to felonious assault in Dickinson County Circuit Court.
Krissy Marie Farrish stood before Judge Richard Celello with her attorney Daniel Jaspen of Iron Mountain for arraignment on Monday.
Jaspen entered a not guilty plea to assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault).
A pre-trial conference was set for Oct. 1 at 10 a.m.
Farrish faces the charge from an Aug. 26 incident in which she is accused of having an argument with her then live-in boyfriend. Upon returning to the residence, the boyfriend was confronted by Farrish who was holding a handgun, court records say.
According to the felony complaint, Farrish pointed the gun in the victim's direction and stated she should "just end it all." Fearing that he may be shot, the boyfriend turned and ran from the residence, the complaint said.
A .38 special was located on the bed inside of the residence. It was in case along with five loose (live) rounds. Farrish admitted handling the gun, but denied pointing it at the victim, the complaint said.
