CASPIAN - Mae E. Webber, 94, of Caspian, passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 at Northstar Health System in Iron River.
She was born May 17, 1918 in Republic, the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mathilda (Vadnais) Grant. She attended the Republic and Iron River schools, graduating from Iron River High School in 1935.
Mae married Walter Webber on Aug. 9, 1941 at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and the couple made their home in Caspian. They celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in 1971.
Walter preceded her in death on April 19, 1972.
Mae was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, picking berries, dancing, cooking and her card clubs.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert and sisters; Loretta Mitchell, Dorothy Gagne, and Marjorie Lee.
She is survived by three sons, Gerald Webber of Phoenix, Ariz.; Don (Dianne) Webber of Wausau, Wis.; and John Robin Webber of Iron River; two daughters, Sharon (Gerald) Fitzpatrick of Iron River and Betty (LeRoy) Williams of Wrenshall, Minn. She is also survived by a brother, Joseph Grant of Iron River and sister, Alice Campbell (John Angeloff of Iron River), eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian with Rev. Michael Ocran to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery in Iron River.
