Beverly Davidson

KINGSFORD - Beverly E. Davidson, 88, of Kingsford, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Freeman's Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Kingsford.

She was born July 12, 1924, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Chester and Gunhild (Broudlin) Cambray. Bev has been a resident of the area for most of her life and was a graduate of Channing High School, class of 1942.

She married Blair Davidson on Oct.16, 1943, in Ann Arbor, lower Michigan, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 2003.

Beverly was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, cooking, baking and loved her dogs.

She is survived by three sons, Gary (Diane) Davidson of Kingsford, James (Kathy) Davidson of Montgomery, Ill., and Stephen (Jan) Davidson of Iron Mountain; a brother, John (Gerry) Cambray of Green Bay, Wis.; two sisters, Jean (Donald) Carey of Ann Arbor and Peggy Walls of Arlington, Texas; eight grandchildren, Missy, Christine, James, Tanya, Tiffany, Heather, Amber, and Chad; eight great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Erika, Rylee, Kassandra, Chelsie, Kevin, Morgan and Kelly; one great-great-grandchild, Brooklyn; several nieces and nephews; and a great-grandchild and a great-great grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Keyes, Lorraine "Billy" Sunderland and Joyce Gestner; and two brothers, Donald and Ted Cambray.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesday at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain.

A memorial service will follow Tuesday at noon at the church. Rev. Paul Mallory will officiate.

Burial will be at Dickinson County Memorial Gardens in Iron Mountain.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established to the Almost Home Animal Shelter in her memory.
