MARQUETTE - Forest Park remains the "Little Five" leader in the U.P. Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association high school football poll.
Coach Bill Santilli's Trojans (4-0 record) collected two first-place ballots and 22 poll points to edge St. Ignace (4-0) with two first-place votes and 21 poll points. North Dickinson (4-0) is third among Class D schools with one and 17.
Menominee (4-0) has taken over the "Big Five" rankings from Kingsford (3-1). The Maroons garnered four first-place ballots and 24 poll points to best Ishpeming (4-0), one and 20, and the Flivvers, zero and 14.
Kingsford faces Menominee on Friday at Flivver Field to open Great Northern Conference play.
