TWIN LAKES, Wis. - Karen Parker, 54, of Burlington, Wis. in Wheatland Township, died Monday afternoon, Sept. 17, 2012, at the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.
The former Karen Sue Kivi was born in Norway on Sept.12, 1958, the daughter of the late Aino and Beatrice Bartle Kivi. On Aug. 10, 1985, in Waukegan, Ill, she was united in marriage to Steven J. Parker. They lived in Lily Lake before moving to the Dells Subdivision in 2001.
Karen formerly worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for Miniature Precision Components in Walworth, Wis. She enjoyed scrapbooking and stamping.
Karen is survived by her husband, Steve; two sons, Erick Kivi of Round Lake Park, Ill. and Steven (Kathryn) Parker of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; three stepchildren, John Parker of Delavan, Wis., Annie (James) Parker Dodd of Columbia, Mo. and Katie (Derek) D'Harlingue of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; one sister, Deb Kivi of Round Lake Park, Ill.; three brothers, Robert Kivi of Perronville, Mich., Mike (Gloria) Kivi of Perronville, Mich. and Brian (Laura) Kivi of Huntley, Ill.
A service celebrating Karen's Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Haase-Lockwood and Assoc. Funeral Homes and Crematory.
A gathering of friends will be from 11 a.m. until time of service.
