GLADSTONE - A moose was killed after it crossed into the path of a semi-truck on Monday in Delta County.

Troopers from the Gladstone post of the Michigan State Police said that the accident occurred north of Perkins on St. Nicholas Road.

According to troopers, a bull moose ran into a passing semi-truck and wandered off into the woods, where it was found dead by a Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) officer.

The driver of the semi-truck, a 73-year-old Brampton man, was not injured, troopers added.
