Pray to God for help

America is at a historic crossroad. Secularists are trying to push God from the public square.

They reject his benefic action upon society. But without God, where will our leaders get the wisdom to solve the great problems we face?

We must stop the secularist advance and pray to God for help. He will hear us, if we pray through the intercession of his blessed mother. That's why we're launching the 2012 Public Square Rosary Crusade.

Last year over 7,000 groups across our nation met to pray the rosary for the conversion of our nation. More and more people are joining us each year.

The public square rosary will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, at noon, in the parking lot of the Newby Professional building at 415 River Ave. in Iron River.

Bring a friend, a rosary and a chair. If you cannot join us, please pray the rosary wherever you are.

In The Secret of The Rosary, St. Louis de Montfort said: "Public prayer is far more powerful than private prayer to appease the anger of God and call down his mercy, and holy mother church, guided by the Holy Ghost, has always advocated public prayer in times of public tragedy and suffering."

The rosary is both an intercessory and meditative prayer. Intercessory because we ask our blessed mother to intercede for us and meditative prayer because we meditate on the life of Christ as we recite the rosary.
