AMASA - Sharon S. Flowers, 57, of Amasa, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at her home after a three year battle with leukemia.
She was born on March 20, 1955, in Hillsdale, Mich., daughter of the late Wells and Donna (Barager) Beebe. She attended the Hillsdale schools, graduating from Hillsdale High School in 1973. She married John Flowers on Aug. 9, 1975, in Hillsdale, and together they moved to Crystal Falls, making it their home for more than 37 years.
She and her husband John have owned and operated Flowers Plumbing for more than 20 years. Sharon's true passion had been her horses for most of her life.
She loved her time spent with family and friends at their horse camp at the Triangle Ranch in Amasa. She also loved putting her horses on the trailer, and heading out west to Montana, the Dakota's, and Arkansas with her family.
Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Beebe.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of more than 37 years, John Flowers of Amasa; her son Jake Flowers of Seward, Alaska; and her brother, William Beebe of Las Vegas.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls.
The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Cheryle Spicer will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hope Lodge in Marshfield, Wis., where Sharon was well-cared for for more than seven months. Donations may be made directly to John or the Nash Funeral Home.
