IRON MOUNTAIN - A Kingsford man has pleaded no contest to three felony charges.

William Bottesi Jr. was in Dickinson County Circuit Court with his attorney Grant Carlson on Tuesday for arraignment.

A no contest plea was entered to criminal sexual conduct, third degree, assault with intent to commit sexual penetration, and operating while impaired.

The no contest plea was entered into due to intoxication and civil liability.

Special Prosecuting Attorney Melissa Powell of Iron County said the plea deal recommends 36 months to 60 months incarceration.

Under a no contest plea, the defendant is treated by the sentencing judge the same as if convicted via a guilty plea or trial verdict.

Police were called to a Dickinson County residence on July 21 for a report of breaking and entering. The victim had physical injuries from an encounter with the defendant.

The defendant was later arrested. His blood alcohol content was .15 percent.

Sentencing is set for Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. before Judge Mary B. Barglind.
