MARQUETTE - Northern Michigan University opened the
hockey season Sunday with a 2-0 exhibition win over Brock University at Berry Events Center.
"We go into a game like this trying to accomplish three things," NMU coach
Walt Kyle said. "We try to get through the game healthy and use it as a
conditioner, we try to evaluate personnel and we try to grow within the
system and I think we did all three things today."
Northern opens regular season play next weekend at the Resch Center in
Green Bay, Wis. against the Wisconsin Badgers. Game times are set for 7:05 p.m. (Central time), with tickets available at the Superior Dome ticket office or online at ticketstaronline.com.
