Party of greed and power

October 15, 2012
The Daily News

EDITOR:

Are we going to let the super rich and the huge corporations' money elect our next president and other government officials? Or are we going to research the facts and make an informed decision based on the truth? If you keep watching the campaign ads and hear the same lies over and over again, you may start to believe them.

There are a few web sites on the internet that deny or confirm these campaign ads: Politifact.com, Factcheck.com, and Snopes.com.

The Republican Party is not your father's party anymore. It is now a party of greed and power. More for the rich, and less for the rest of us. Less taxes for the rich and more taxes for the rest of us. From the day Mr. Obama was elected president, the Republicans vowed to make him a one-term president, and they have done everything in their power to make sure bills President Obama and the Democratic Party proposed would not pass, thus trying to make President Obama look inept.

If Mr. Romney is elected president, we will see drastic changes in Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, education, health care (especially women's), environmental laws, regulation laws, etc., etc.

And who will be adversely affected by this? The middle class, the poor, the elderly, and women.

Before you vote on Nov. 6, please check out the web sites mentioned above and get the truth instead of listening to lies and misleading facts on the campaign ads.

Then vote Democrat.
