MARQUETTE - The Marquette County Sheriff's Office was called to the area of Hogsback Mountain for two lost hikers.
After it had become dark, the subjects became lost on their way back from a hike to the mountain.
Steven Claucherty, 19, of Royal Oak, Mich. and Melinda Fitaian, 18, of Birmingham, an NMU student, called 911 seeking assistance.
After a search that lasted about one hour and 30 minutes, sheriff's deputies along with Search and Rescue located the hikers.
They were uninjured and escorted out of the woods safely.
