October 19, 2012
Associated Press

WIXOM, Mich. (AP) - Police say shots have been fired at vehicles in several Michigan communities.

In Wixom, authorities say someone shot at five vehicles traveling through a main road. No one was hurt during the shootings Thursday afternoon in the Detroit suburb.

The shootings occurred within a span of two to three minutes.

Meanwhile, the Ingham County sheriff's office said Friday that five vehicles had been targeted by a gunman in Webberville.

A witness told deputies a man driving a black four-door car fired at several cars as they drove on M-52.

The sheriff's department says "similar reports and descriptions" have been reported to authorities in Wixom as well as in Livingston County and Oakland County's Commerce Township.

No injuries were reported in Webberville, where authorities say one bullet was recovered as evidence.
