Leading by example

October 25, 2012
The Daily News

EDITOR:

The political season is quickly drawing to a close. While the majority of our interest has centered on the national race, our local candidates deserve some thought as well. We will be electing a new county commissioner for District 3. I believe Barbara Kramer has the attributes to effectively serve our residents. I've known her to lend her support to ideas and causes she believes in.

It's time to elect a commissioner who will put business, economic, cultural and recreational development at the head of Dickinson County's list. It doesn't matter what political party she is affiliated with.

She believes in leading by example. She is not a part of the "good old boy network" but aligns with the belief that our county deserves to be the best it can be.

We need someone who will think independently and intelligently address the real issues facing Dickinson County. Now is the time and place to start. Barb Kramer has spent the majority of her adult life committed to serving others and aligns herself with the belief that we must deal effectively and professionally with issues to find workable solutions.

As someone who has known Barb for many years, I am confident that she would be the best candidate to fill the District 3 County Commissioner's seat. I want to see Dickinson County prosper and Barb has the understanding, experience and genuine sensitivity to make that happen. Barb deserves your vote; you won't be sorry.
