IRON MOUNTAIN - The name of the Vulcan man killed when a vehicle fell off a jack on Wednesday has been released.

Wayne Raiche, 52, was pronounced dead at the hospital following an accident at his residence, officials said.

Authorities were called to Central Boulevard in Vulcan at approximately noon on Wednesday for a vehicle that had apparently fallen off the jack and a person was trapped.

Fire and ambulance personnel arrived prior to the Dickinson County Sheriff's deputy and removed the individual from under the vehicle and transported him to the hospital.

Investigation revealed that the scissor jack being used collapsed and came out from under the vehicle.
