NORWAY- Charlotte M. Warner, 90, of Norway, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
She was born on April 9, 1922, in Norway, the daughter of the late August and Sigrid (Djuplin) Melin.
Charlotte married Irving Warner on Sept. 9, 1941, in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2005.
She particularly enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, camping, fishing and was an avid football fan.
Charlotte rarely missed a Lake Linden game and truly enjoyed watching all Michigan State, Lions, and Packer games. Charlotte is a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Norway.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Merry) Warner of East Lansing, and Ronald (Kathy) Warner of Norway; grandchildren, Kristine (Jerry) Weller of Ada, Stacy (Paul) Casanova of Vulcan, Kathy Warner (Tony Lopez) of East Lansing, Gregg (Hillary) Warner of Royal Oak, Mich., and Ronald (Christie) Warner of Lansing; great-grandchildren, Olivia Weller, Samantha and Max Matson, Alexis Bailey, and Truman Warner; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Harold Melin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 805 Iron St. in Norway.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church, with Rev. Dr. Michael J. Langlais, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
