IRON MOUNTAIN - Troopers from the Iron Mountain State Police Post continue to seek two suspects following a report of a stolen vehicle from Angeli's Market in Iron River.

The stolen vehicle was reported to the Iron River Police Department officers on Sunday at 8:55 p.m., who obtained information on a possible direction of travel of the suspects and the vehicle.
Troopers located the vehicle traveling north on U.S. Highway 141 near Cable Lake in Hematite Township north of Iron River.
When a traffic stop was attempted, the suspect vehicle did not stop and a pursuit was ensued, said Sgt. David Stuck of the Iron Mountain State Police Post.
The pursuit continued north on U.S. Highway 141 to westbound M-28 in Baraga County to northbound M-45 in Ontonagon County. Use of stop sticks was attempted to stop the vehicle, however, it was unsuccessful, Sgt. Stuck said.
The driver lost control of the vehicle on M-45 near Gauthier Road in Ontonagon County.
Two male occupants of the vehicle fled the scene on foot.
After a long, intense search, the two suspects were not located, Sgt. Stuck said.
Investigation is ongoing at this time.
Police declined to provide the make and model of the stolen vehicle.
Iron Mountain troopers were assisted by Michigan State Police Wakefield Post, Michigan Conservation officers, Iron River Police Department, Baraga and Ontonagon County Sheriff's Departments, and the Ojibwa Tribal Police.
