Man arrested on dangerous drugs warrant

IRON MOUNTAIN - A 65-year-old man was arrested on a warrant after being wanted by Appleton, Wis. authorities for bail jumping in reference to a "dangerous drugs" warrant.

Iron Mountain Police received the information and the subject was arrested in the 500 block of Fifth Street on the Wisconsin warrant.

Lt. Ed Mattson said as a result of the investigation it was learned that the subject moved to Iron Mountain and failed to register as a sex offender.

It was also learned that he was residing within 1,000 feet of a school property.

A report will be forwarded to the Dickinson County Prosecutor requesting charges for failing to register as a sex offender and residing within 1,000 feet of school property.
