WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. - Florence's Jenny Goeman finished 36th in the WIAA Division 3 cross country state meet Saturday at the The Ridges Golf Course.
The Bobcats senior, who ran a 16:11.72, topped her previous personal best time of 16:35.
"We're very proud of her," Florence Coach Karen Harrison said.
Senior Andrea Ostenso of Ladysmith was the first girl to finish in Division 3 with a time of 14:34.59 after placing third last season.
The meet was delayed one hour because of frost on the course with almost ideal conditions by the time the first race began at noon.
