ATHELSTANE, Wis. - Thomas William Buchman passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis.
He was born in Antigo, Wis., the son of Lawrence Graves Buchman and Della Wierchke.
Thomas grew up living a simple country life. Although he was a quiet man most of the time, he was very kind-hearted, funny, and always smiling. He loved being outdoors. Thomas especially had a passion for antique cars and guns. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and took pride in serving his country.
For hobbies he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a semi-truck driver for years and enjoyed seeing the country over the road. With many health struggles unfortunately came early retirement, but he continued to enjoy spending as much time as he could outdoors and with his family and friends.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Cindy Buchman of Athelstane, Wis.; brother, Terry Buchman of Houghton; sisters, Shirley Pittman and Susan Stinett, both of Illinois; daughters, Stephanie Rockstead of Rochelle, Ill., Heather Buchman of Cudahy, Wis., Emilie Buchman of Athelstane, and Krystal Buchman of Athelstane; sons, Michael Buchman of Rochelle and Jarrod Buchman of Athelstane; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, and family friends.
