Dark day for our country

November 12, 2012
The Daily News

EDITOR:

I will be 87 years old in two weeks. I lived through the Great Depression. I served 2 years of active duty in the U.S. Army. I was in the Army Reserves for 3 years.

Today, I feel like I did when Pearl Harbor was bombed in 1941. I really believe that today is a very dark day for our country and will be the end of our exceptionalism and greatness.

It is inexplicable to me that the voters have ignored the record of Obama's last four years. The divisive rhetoric, huge debt and all his failures.

It grieves me that my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will have to endure all the events and hardships that will follow because of this decision to re-elect Obama.
