PEMBINE, Wis. - Huey Chris Keller, 71, of Pembine, beloved husband, loving father and grandfather, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.
He was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 3, 1941, son of the late Huey and Evaline (Lillie) Keller. Huey attended Washington High School in Milwaukee. After high school, he entered the United States Navy and served his country honorably.
He was united in marriage to Patricia Abt on Sept. 23, 1978, in Milwaukee at Alders Gate Methodist Church. He owned the Beecher Pub for approximately eight years.
Huey enjoyed fixing things and was known by many as a reliable handyman. He also loved to shoot pool, fish, and spend time watching a wide range of sports. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
Huey is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia; three daughters, Christine (Martin) Pataconi, Kimberly (Stephan) Doud, and Laura (Ross) Dessart; three stepchildren, Craig, Brenda, and Chad Suelflow; five grandchildren, Jesse, Amber, Cody, Dustin, and Lily; eight step-grandchildren, Paul, Heather, Amanda, Brittani, Corey, Dakota, Sommer, and Molly; two great-grandchildren, Bailey, and Lucian; one step great-grandchild, Codon; and numerous loving friends extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his aunts, Laura and Carol; and an uncle, Ed.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, W8014 Minnie St. in Pembine, Wis. 54156.
Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Gene Wickman will officiate. Military services will follow.
