It never goes away

November 16, 2012
The Daily News

EDITOR:

We get so busy in our daily lives that sometimes it is too easy to stop for a moment and commend people for doing good things.

This summer, on top of Pine Mountain, the SAL and the family of Post 50 Iron Mountain, took the time to remember "The Forgotten War." For those who served in the Korean War, it may have been one of America's shorter wars, but as a veteran, we still cary a lifetime of the memories. It never goes away.

No war is a good war, but for those who remembered and put together recognition to the Korean veterans of this area, we salute thank you.

These selfless people made us remember the sacrifice all veterans have made that we may live in a country without tyranny and oppression.
