BAY CITY, Mich. - Crystal Falls' Bryan LaChapelle and Kingsford's Nelson Wienke were among five Michigan Tech football players named to the All-GLIAC second team.
LaChapelle gained his third consecutive All-GLIAC honor by hauling in a team-best 55 receptions for 676 yards and six touchdowns. The senior tight end was All-GLIAC first team as a sophomore and All-GLIAC second team each of the last two seasons.
Wienke, a sophomore defensive end, had a breakout season with 40 total tackles and 11 tackles for loss. His 8.5 sacks ranked him second in the league and helped Tech finish first in the GLIAC in total sacks (32).
Kingsford's Cole Welch, a fullback, received honorable mention.
