FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Lois (Bertolini) Cope, 67, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Virginia.
Lois was born and raised in Norway and graduated from Norway High School. Shortly after graduation in 1964, she joined the army for four years and made her home in Fredericksburg.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael Cope and (Brian Bonnie) Cope; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Marilyn; a brother, Ken (Darlene) Bertolini of Hermansville; a sister, Joyce (Jim) Snowdon of Hamilton Lakes; four stepchildren, Karen Cope, Barbara Wilson, Stephen Cope, and Jean Grooms; and four step-grandchildren, Kelly, Chris, Tori and Hadley.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Ernest Cope; her youngest son, Douglas Cope; and her parents, Edward and Norma Bertolini.
The family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Covenant Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, where she was buried with honors at Quantico National Cemetery.
