IRON MOUNTAIN - A missing elderly woman with dementia who was reported missing early this morning was found and taken to the hospital.
The Iron Mountain Police Department was dispatched to a residence on the north side at 3:07 a.m. today in reference to a missing 88-year-old woman with dementia.
With the assistance of the Kingsford Public Safety Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff's Department, the missing woman was located at 3:41 a.m. in a wooded area off of South Grant Street.
Police said the victim was transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital by Beacon ambulance for treatment of what are believed to be non life-threatening issues related to her condition as well as possible hypothermia.
