IRON MOUNTAIN - Kingsford's girls breezed while Ishpeming-Negaunee's boys gained revenge in a high school swim dual Tuesday at Northern Lights YMCA.

The Flivver girls registered a 110-55 decision while Ishpeming-Negaunee captured the final relay to prevail 84-83.

Kingsford's boys prevailed by more than 30 points in their first meeting but Ishpeming-Negaunee was shorthanded because of the Hematites in the state football finals.

Kingsford owned a five-point lead entering the last event Tuesday but finished second to I-N in the relay.

"The most exciting race of the evening was the boys 100 breaststroke where the top four swimmers finished between 1:22 and 1:23," Flivver coach Keith Freeman noted.

Josh Johnson and Pasha Hammar went undefeated in their individual events.

The Flivver girls maintained their dominance.

"The I-N girls have some great girls on their team, but our girls team has depth and a lot of growing talent," Freeman said. "Many of our girls achieved personal bests, some with double digit improvements."

Michelle Scheibe and Maria Pirkola were the only two Flivver girls who went undefeated in their individual events.

The Flivvers travel to Manistique next Wednesday to take on the Emeralds.

Flivvers with personal bests follow:

Lynea Hautamaki - 200 Individual Medley; Joyce Hoffmann - 100 Backstoke; Keith Holmes - 100 Butterfly; Kyra Johnson - 50 Freestyle; Matt Johnson - 50 Freestyle; Ann Koryeshkova - 50 Freestyle; Amber McClean - 50 Freestyle; Rachel Mentel - 50 Freestyle; Shelby Oman - 100 Backstroke; David Plumley - 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke; Aaron Pope - 100 Freestyle; Emma Schoenborn - 500 Freestyle; Jon Smeberg - 500 Freestyle; Kassandra Stalemazek - 100 Butterfly; Leo Stalemazek - 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly; Audreanna Trujillo - 50 Freestyle; Lacey Walsh - 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke; Tanner Walsh - 200 Individual Medley; Whitney Wender - 500 Freestyle; Jacob Wetsel - 50 Freestyle.
