Judge Morrison speaks to students at Beecher Dunbar Pembine Schools

PEMBINE, Wis. - Circuit Judge James Morrison of Marinette County was a guest speaker recently at Beecher- Dunbar-Pembine Schools.

He started the day with a roundtable discussion with the BDP SADD officers and class representatives regarding the concerns the students see in the community and gave them tips on how to keep themselves and others safe and free from illegal acts.

He then had a one hour discussion with juniors and seniors regarding their legal rights and responsibilities as young adults, specifically as to when does a person become an "adult" according to Wisconsin Law and what does it mean to become an "adult" under Wisconsin Law.

Topics included voting, military service, jury duty, alcohol and other drugs, driving laws, criminal charges, contracts, online privacy, social media issues, employment, consumer protection, credit, and marriage, divorce and children.
