IRON MOUNTAIN - One person was injured Sunday morning in Iron Mountain following the accidental discharge of a firearm.
The incident occurred at about 3:25 a.m. at a residence on the 800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue.
Iron Mountain Police Chief Peter Flaminio said that officers responded to a report of an accidental discharge of a firearm causing injury.
One person was transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment of a non life-threatening injury, he added.
A report has been forwarded to the Dickinson County Prosecutor's office for review.
Assisting at the scene were the Dickinson County Sheriff's Department, Kingsford Public Safety Department, and Beacon Ambulance.
