My heart is still broken by the tragedy in Connecticut at Sandy Hook Elementary School. It has been more than a week and our country is still reeling and looking for solutions to the attacks on children that keep happening.
Lest we forget all the children being attacked on a daily basis, let me report one fact and its correlation: "The latest statistics in Michigan showed that in 2011, the total number of reported abortions in Michigan was 23,366."
That means that each day, in Michigan alone, 64 children were killed at the hands of medical personnel sworn to save lives. In Michigan alone 2.6 children were killed each hour of each day as they were ripped from their place of safety in their mother's womb. This happens hour after hour, day after day in every state of our union!
Abortion is not a random, out of the normal incident. Abortion is happening with the blessing of our government and those pledged to protect us.
Something is very wrong with this picture. I am determined to do what I can, from my little corner of the nation. I'm praying, but putting action to my prayers.
I am giving a donation to Right to Life of Michigan. I'm giving some more supplies to Walk of Life pregnancy center in Iron Mountain.
I'm reserving Jan. 20, 2013, afternoon to walk in the Right to Life march. I'm writing to The Daily News, and will write to all my congressmen again.
There will be more I can do, in honor of the 20 children who died in Connecticut and the hundreds, or is it thousands, who die every day in abortion clinics. What about you? What will you do?
