Ted Pietila notched a hat trick for Flivvers, who improved to 3-4-0 with the win.
"We started out a little slow, but picked it up," Flivvers coach Jim Peterson said. "We didn't make big mistakes. All three lines clicked pretty good."
Kingsford, a little quicker than its opponent, held a 25-3 advantage in shots after one period, but led just 1-0 on the scoreboard with a goal by Reid Pietila.
Pietila and Kyle Larson scored about a minute apart to give Kingsford a 3-0 lead in the second before St. Ignace got on the board. Justin Rock assisted on the Pietila goal.
Matt Willman added another with 15 seconds left in the frame, getting help from Adam Szabo.

St. Ignace added a couple of late tallies to tighten the final margin.
Wes Paupore earned the win in net, stopping 17 shots.
Kingsford plays tourney host Cheboygan (6-5-0) at 1 p.m. (Central) today. The Chiefs snapped a four-game losing streak with an 8-1 rout of L'Anse in the second game Thursday.
Cheboygan Coach Craig Coxe was impressed with the Flivvers.
"Kingsford has a couple of really good players," he told the Cheboygan Tribune. "They're quick, they move the puck well, they're pretty fancy, so we've gotta be on our toes. We have to be ready for them tomorrow."
