Terry French

GREEN BAY, Wis. - Terry W. French, 73, of Green Bay, passed away after a tough fight with cancer on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, surrounded by his family.

He was born May 2, 1939, in Milwaukee to Robert and Dorothea (Hoppe) French. Terry served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961.

On Nov. 28, 1959, he married Carol Treado in New Berlin. He was employed by General Electric for 37 years, retiring as a regional sales manager. Terry and Carol wintered in Casa Grande, Ariz., and spent a lot of their time golfing. He loved to listen to Frank Sinatra. Terry's favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church where he volunteered in many capacities, and was instrumental in the startup of the food pantry.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Marie French of Green Bay; his daughter and son-in-law, Karin and Gary Gardipee of Niagara; his grandchildren, Bryce French, Elizabeth "Liz" Pellegrini, and Emilee Pellegrini; his brother, Jere French of Houston, Texas; two brothers-in-law, Lee (Kate) Treado of Sunrise, Fla. and Jeff (Fran) Treado of Summerset, Ky.; a sister-in-law, Mary Sue Treado of Westminster, Colo.; and nieces, nephews, and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Kenneth French and Ronald French.

Friends may call at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1024 Shawano Ave. in Green Bay, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. Kathryn Schreitmueller officiating.

A memorial fund has been established to benefit Resurrection Lutheran Church or Unity Hospice.
