IRON MOUNTAIN - A Felch man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Felch Township early Sunday morning.
Dickinson County Sheriff Scott Celello said that deputies were dispatched at approximately 3:10 a.m. Sunday to a one-vehicle accident with entrapment on Lucas Road approximately a quarter mile north of M-69.
The driver, Scott Curran, 46, of Felch was located inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the accident, Sheriff Celello said.
Three passengers in the vehicle, two females and one male, were treated at the scene and released.
Based on the investigation, the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling northbound on Lucas Road when the driver lost control and entered the ditch on the west side of the road.
After entering the ditch, the vehicle struck some small trees and overturned, coming to rest on the driver's side.
After the accident, all three passengers were able to exit the vehicle on their own, Sheriff Celello said.
The sheriff's office was assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police, Felch Fire Department, Nordic Ambulance and Wilson's Towing.
The individuals were not wearing seat belts and speed and alcohol are believed to be a factor, Sheriff Celello said.
The accident remains under investigation.
