No injuries in IM crash

IRON MOUNTAIN - A Norway man was issued a citation for disregarding a traffic signal following a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 2 at East Ludington Street Friday afternoon.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

The Iron Mountain Police Department was dispatched to the crash at 2:25 p.m.

Police said a pickup truck, driven by a 52-year-old Norway man was northbound on U.S. 2 at East Ludington and failed to stop for the red light. The pickup truck struck an eastbound passenger car on Ludington Street that was driven by a 65-year-old Iron Mountain man.

The 52-year-old Norway man was issued a disregarding a traffic signal citation.

Iron Mountain Police were assisted on scene by Iron Mountain Fire Department personnel, who responded for spilled fluid.
