FLORENCE, Wis. - The public is invited to a free educational evening about breast wellness to be held on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Florence Natural Resource and Interpretive Center in Florence.
Speakers for the evening will be Kathleen Ventre, a thermography technician level II from the Marquette Wellness Centre and Dr. Kerry Niegrzydowski of the Radiant Natural Health Clinic in Niagara. They will be speaking on breast wellness from a holistic approach.
Kathleen Ventre will be speaking on thermography which is digital infrared thermal imaging and is a safe, non-invasive form of technology that will identify abnormal thermal patterns without the use of radiation.
Dr. Christiane Northrup, MD writes, "The most promising aspect of thermography is its ability to spot anomalies years before mammography."
Dr. Niebrzydowski, daughter of Todd and Dana Colenso of Iron Mountain, is a board certified naturopathic physician, licensed acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1994 and went on to receive a bachelor's in mathematics from Michigan State University in 2001. She then moved to Portland, Ore., to complete a six year doctoral program in naturopathic medicine and a master's in Chinese medicine at the oldest accredited naturopathic medical school in the nation, the National College of Natural Medicine. In addition, she recently completed a residency in primary care, with a focus on public health in Portland, Ore.
