CRYSTAL FALLS - No one was injured although two vehicles were destroyed when a pickup truck backfired and started a garage on fire Friday.

Crystal Falls Fire Department personnel respond to a garage fire on Oss Road. No injuries were reported.
Crystal Falls Fire Department was called to 343 Oss Road in Crystal Falls Township at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Also responding to the scene was Mastodon Fire Department with a tanker for water shuttle.
Firefighters remained on scene for five hours for clean-up and mop-up of the fire.
The garage is a total loss, as were the two vehicles inside the garage.
Fire officials said the cause of the fire was from the pick up-truck backfiring. The homeowner, Russell Oss, was working on the vehicle when it backfired and started the garage on fire.
No one was injured in the fire.
