Basic digital photography class offered at Bay West

IRON MOUNTAIN - A Basic Digital Photography course is being offered at Bay College's West campus, Iron Mountain.

The course is designed for individuals who own a DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera. Class will be held on Wednesdays, Feb. 13 through Feb. 27, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Two Saturdays, Feb. 16 and Feb. 23, are designated for an outside photography shoot activity with timeframe to be announced.

Instructional time will be devoted to learning various camera menu options and how the camera features can be better utilized. Discussions include camera composition, white balance, resolution, ISO settings, lighting, compensation, and more.

As an added bonus, time will be spent exploring the basics of using and understanding Photoshop CS5, the leading software in image editing.

Cost for the 12 hour class is $125.
