February 19, 2013
The Daily News

UPDATE:

NEGAUNEE - M-28 between Marquette and Munising is now closed to motor vehicle traffic. The alternate route is U.S. 41 to Skandia and M-94 to Munising.

Road closure barricades will be in place in Marquette and Munising. Law enforcement will be patrolling near the barricades.

Blizzard conditions in the area have reduced visibility to zero.

There are vehicles already stuck in the roadway, and snow plows are unable to plow the roadway.

Troopers from the Negaunee post of the Michigan State Police would like to remind motorists that if they choose to disregard traffic control devices, they can be held responsible for a civil infraction ticket.

NEGAUNEE - Due to low visibility and drifting snow, officials are advising against travel on M-28 and M-94 between Marquette and Munising.

Both the Michigan State Police and the Alger-Marquette County Road Commission reported poor road conditions and reduced traffic lanes.
