IRON MOUNTAIN - One person is believed to have received non-life threatening injuries from a two-vehicle head-on crash that occurred at the intersection of Breitung Cutoff Road and U.S. 141 on Friday.

The crash occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m. in Breitung Township.

Karissa Beauchamp, 32, of Kingsford was traveling north on U.S. 141 and attempted to make a left turn onto Breitung Avenue, reported State Police from the Iron Mountain Post.

While making the left turn, she struck a southbound vehicle operated by Clayton Mueller, 18, of Niagara, Wis.

Mueller was transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital by Beacon Ambulance.

Both drivers were alone in their vehicles, police said.

State Police were assisted at the scene by the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office, Beacon Ambulance, Breitung Township Fire Department and Wilson Towing.

Due to the weather conditions on Friday, several vehicles slid off the roadway and into the ditch throughout the county.

It snowed all day, and roads were snow-covered and slick.
