MARINETTE, Wis. - A Marinette man could be facing charges following a firearm incident that occurred Thursday in Marinette.
The incident occurred at 8:33 p.m. at 712 Marinette Avenue.
Officers from the Marinette Police Department said that they were informed that there had been a disturbance in which a 28-year-old male suspect had fired shots.
After securing the scene, officers took the man into custody. He is currently being treated at a medical facility for self-inflicted, non life-threatening injuries, said officers.
No one else was injured.
Officers said that they will forward reports to the Marinette County District Attorney requesting formal charges of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct, felon in possession of a firearm, and reckless endangerment. The matter remains under investigation.
