IRON MOUNTAIN - Kiwanis of Iron Mountain-Kingsford have announced they have partnered with the Niagara School District to present a Raising A Reader event on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
This important family early literacy event will be held at the Niagara Elementary School and will be facilitated by Kiwanis leaders and early childhood specialists, Barb Reisner and Jonathan Ringel.
Targeting reading with children 0-5 years of age, presenters will focus on creative ways families can read together. Older siblings are welcome to join in the fun and all children will go home with a new children's book.
Lunch will follow the presentation and the event is free.

Kiwanis meets the first and third Tuesday at noon at Maple Creek in Iron Mountain. Kiwanis also has a satellite club that meets 5:30 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of the month at Blackstone Pizza. Guests are welcome to attend Kiwanis meetings to find out more about the club's activities.
